Scunthorpe Co-operative Travel Branch is hoping to help people in need enjoy an egg-cellent Easter

Co-operative Travel in Scunthorpe has launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support people in need in the area – and customers and the community are being asked to offer their support.

The Co-operative Travel, in Scunthorpe is collecting Easter eggs for Scunthorpe Foodbank

The Easter eggs will be distributed just in time for Easter Sunday.

Travel branch assistant manager Nicki Tennant said: “We’re asking our customers and friends to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to people in need in the local area.

“All gifts will be donated to the Scunthorpe Foodbank.

“It is the eleventh year that Central England Co-operative has organised this activity and we are hoping to put smiles on even more faces this year.”

If you would like to donate an Easter egg, simply take it to the Central England Co-operative travel branch in Scunthorpe by 5pm on Friday, 14 April.
