Central England Co-operative Society held a day of cake baking and sales to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society in a bid to assist research into dementia.

Many people find themselves affected either directly or indirectly by Alzheimer’s, a condition that has wide reaching impact on communities, and Co-op colleagues wanted to do their bit to help.
The Central England Co-op cake bonanza took place at their Lichfield Head Office, and raised a whopping £605.28 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

All manner of delicious cakes were available, either homemade, or donated by Co-op suppliers to raise as much cash as possible at the event on the 15th June. Cupcakes, cornflake cakes and brownies were all for sale throughout the day, and were happily consumed with a minimum donation of 50p per item.

Central England Co-op is a business that takes Corporate Responsibility seriously, and encourages colleagues to engage in community, voluntary and fundraising activity.
