Apple Tarte Tatin

Ingredients
- 25g (1oz) The Co-operative butter
- 25g (1oz) caster sugar
- 10ml (1/2 tbsp) The Co-operative honey
- 1 red eating apple, cored and sliced
- about 1/2 x 375g pack puff pastry
Method

Preheat the oven to 220°C, 425°F, gas mark 7.

Melt butter, sugar and honey in a frying pan. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until golden. Pour into an 18cm (7in) round cake tin. Arrange apple slices on top.

Take 160g (5 3/4oz) of the pastry. Cut 1cm (1/2in) bigger than the tin. Place over the apples. Tuck pastry down the sides on the inside of the tin. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to cool before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve with cream or ice cream.
