Crisp Cheese Biscuits

Serves: 14 / Preparation time: 10 minutes / Cooking time: 10-12 minutes


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas 5. Put the rice cereal into a plastic bag and bash with a rolling pin.
  2. Put the flour into a bowl, add the butter and rub together to make fine breadcrumbs.
  3. Add the cheese, crushed cereal and paprika or cayenne, and mix together. Shape the mixture into about 14 balls.
  4. Place on greased baking trays and flatten the biscuits slightly with a fork. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cooked and golden.

You will need:

  • 25g The co-operative crisp rice cereal
  • 70g plain flour
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 115g Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Large pinch paprika or cayenne
