Lola's Easter Nests

Serves: 12 / Preparation time: 20 minutes / Cooking time: Chill for 1 hour


  1. First, put 12 paper cases into a fairy cake tin. Then crush the wholegrain wheats into small pieces in a bowl.
  2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and put in a medium pan with the syrup and butter.
  3. Put a pan onto a low setting on the hob and watch the chocolate melt. Take it off the heat and stir.
  4. Add the crushed wheats to the chocolate and quickly mix with a spoon until everything is covered in chocolate. Use a spoon to drop the mixture into the cases and then poke a hole into the middle of each one to make nests. Leave them in the fridge until they’re hard.

To decorate
Put a few eggs in each nest and put a chick on top.

You will need:

  • 12 paper fairy cake cases
  • 100g (4) The Co-operative wholegrain wheats
  • 200g The Co-operative Fairtrade milk chocolate
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 50g unsalted butter

To decorate

2 packets mini chocolate eggs and you can add little chicks, too!
