£237k investment at Weston Road food store

Colleagues at Central England Co-operative’s Weston Road food store celebrated the completion of the stores refurbishment today, Friday 18 November.

The local Staffordshire store has undergone a £237k transformation and now offers its members and customers an improved shopping experience.

The transformation sees the introduction of an extended range of chilled beers and wines, the introduction of new fixtures and fittings including the latest in pioneering energy efficient refrigeration and LED lighting technologies to minimise environmental impact.

Weston Road Co-operative Store Manager, Roger Smith, said:
“We’ve been so excited about the makeover, the store needed updating and everything has been refreshed with the aim of making it much brighter, fresher and welcoming for our members and customers.

“I’ve received some very positive comments from customers both old and new and would like to thank everyone for their patience during the refurbishment.

“All of us here at Weston Road Co-operative food store are proud to be part of such a great community and are looking forward to welcoming customers, new and old.”

The Weston Road Co-operative food store is open 7am-10pm every day.  The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special. The store offer includes: fresh and local fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery for breads and pastries, chilled beers and wines, Costa Coffee, fresh and frozen product, Bake and Bite – hot food to go and Irresistible product ranges.

The store also offers Paypoint, Collect Plus, Lottery and a free cash machine.
