Five amazing retail colleagues swapped their work boots for running shoes to help raise over £2,300 for our corporate charity Dementia UK.

Quorn Store Manager Sally (along with her dog Alfie), Michelle Ward, Store Manager at Newbold Vernon, Kibworth Store Manager Donna Rood, Helen Clarke, Clifton South Church Drive Store Manager, and Kibworth Team Leader Amelia Daly all joined forces to take part in the special challenge in November to jog 50 miles and help raise vital funds.

Sally said: “We are all relatively new to running and thought it was a good way to stay focused with our running while raising money and awareness for our corporate charity.

“This was especially important as this year we have not been able to do as much fund-raising as we all usually would in our stores.

“Michelle also dedicated her run to John Blackery, a customer and a member of Newbold Dementia club.

“We all completed the challenge outside due to gyms being closed during lockdown and myself, Donna and Michelle all left the last three miles so we could complete the challenge together at Thornton Reservoir.

“We just want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us and helped this amazing good cause.”
