Central England Co-op has created its first-ever Christmas adverts all based around putting community at the heart of this festive season.

The retailer, which has over 260 stores across 16 counties, today showcased the special videos on social media for the first time as part of its campaign asking people to show ‘Goodwill to All’ in the coming weeks.

The films, created by communications specialists Fridays at Nine, feature young children discussing all the things they love about Christmas and are aimed at helping to raise awareness of several efforts being launched by Central England Co-op designed to help those in need of  extra support this Christmas.

This includes continuing to try and tackle the issue of food poverty by getting people to donate items to support its annual Christmas Food Bank Appeal, which runs from 30 November to 31 December, and by linking up with long-term partner FareShare Midlands in a move that will see it donate 5% of the sales of every one of its Irresistible products during December.

It also includes asking people to support its annual toy appeal, which is running now until 9 December, by donating a gift or stocking filler to help ensure as many youngsters get a gift to open on Christmas Day.

The films also showcase how Central England Co-op has its largest ever range of eco-friendly food and gifting options in stores this year.

You can view the videos on Central England Co-op’s social media pages over the coming weeks – @mycoopfood on Twitter and Facebook – or by visiting https://bit.ly/3eRcMwE
