Central England Co-op offers new range of fun and colourful reusable face coverings for kids

Central England Co-op has responded to demand by extending its in-store offer of face coverings to include a range suitable for children.

The retailer is now offering a three-pack of brightly coloured, reusable, non-medically grade face coverings across its 262 food store in 16 counties to provide a great solution for children aged seven or over.

The masks are antibacterial, water repellent and can be washed up to 20 times.

Additionally, Central England Co-op is also stocking a range of fun and friendly children’s face coverings with designs including sealife and monster themes.

While those aged under 11 years old are not required to wear a face covering, the demand remains high and the retailer is happy to offer a range suitable for all the family as it continues to work to help keep customers and colleagues safe in these uncertain times.

Store Manager Brad Tuckfield said: “As a community retailer we wanted to extend our range to offer face coverings suitable for all the family as there has been lots of demand for smaller, more appealing products for our younger shoppers.

“The introduction of mandatory face coverings in shops has been a huge change for people and even though children aged under 11 are not required to wear them, many still want to do their bit and having some more colourful and friendly options available for them to wear helps to make it less intimidating for them.

“The new face coverings we have in store should be worn in line with the latest government legislation and guidance and are not suitable for anyone aged three years old and under.”

Both the three-pack of coloured face coverings and the single themed face coverings are available in most Central England Co-op stores priced at £3.
