Central England Co-operative Funeralcare has officially opened a funeral home in Derby following a major revamp.

The Funeral Home is based in Chaddesden Lane and a total of £157,000 has been invested in the new venture. It will offer a vastly superior look and feel for families.

The full refurbishment to the funeral home includes new decoration and furniture throughout and an upgrade to energy-efficient LED lighting. Bathroom facilities suitable for visitors with disabilities have also been installed.

During the refurbishment, Central England Co-op has ensured continued service for families in the area by providing a funeral pod on site for the duration of the refit.

Funeral Director Louise Eley said: “This is a very exciting time for my team and we are proud to be part of the community in Chaddesden.

“Our first priority is to enhance memories and love for all of our families and we are very pleased to offer that at our revamped home.

“The investment reflects our commitment to providing excellent standards of care for our families during their time of bereavement.

“We will be hosting a special dedication day later in the year that will see a special blessing take place and guests invited to learn more about the home and my team.

“We look forward to showing families our new surroundings.”

The funeral home offers a 24-hour service, seven days a week.  In addition to arranging funerals, Louise and her team are also able to offer advice on floral tributes, monumental masonry, funeral stationery, pre-paid funeral plans and probate advice.  The team can be contacted on 01332 281442.
