Central England Co-op Travel has been recognised for its success on the high street by scooping a major award.

The holiday provider was named Best High Street Agency: Central England including East Anglia at the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers conference.

Paul Dale, Head of Specialist Business, was on hand to accept the award at a gala awards evening at the ICC in Birmingham.

He was presented with the gong by Aled Jones and Lucy Huxley. The award was voted for by leading industry tour providers.

He said: “I was so pleased to be able to accept this award on behalf of all the colleagues that work  for Central England Co-op Travel.

“We pride ourselves on offering exemplary service to our customers and this award is recognition of us meeting that target.

“I would like to thank all the colleagues for the continued hard work and dedication that went in to us winning this accolade.”

This award comes after the travel provider recently successfully opened six new Travel Shops across the country.

The opening of the brand new travel stores – based in Atherstone, Oakham, Ibstock, Castle Donington, Glenfield and Stirchley - comes after the Society reached an agreement to transfer six Travel branches in total from Thomas Cook earlier this year.
