A Chesterfield florist will use a bit of festive cheer to help raise vital funds for a charity that supports disabled children.

Staff from The Co-operative Florist, based in West Bars, Chesterfield, will be opening their doors from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, November 11, for the annual Christmas floral and party evening.

The event will see the shop turned into a winter wonderland, with guests able to enjoy a buffet, charity raffle and 10 per cent off floral arrangements excluding Interflora items.

Money raised from the raffle will go to Central England Co-operative’s corporate charity Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.

Any funds collected will go towards efforts to raise £1.5 million for the charity.

Janet Hutton, Team Leader at The Co-operative Florist in West Bars, said: “The event is always well attended and a great way to get in the Christmas spirit.

“It also allows us to support a great cause in Newlife and help youngsters in our area.”

More details on the event are available by calling 01246 551506.
