Central England Co-operative Funeralcare has officially opened a new and innovative funeral site in Birmingham.

The new Funeral Booking Office is based in Oxford Road, Moseley and a total of £130,000 has been invested in the new venture.

The new site, which incorporates the former N Wheatley and Sons Funeral Home, offers a vastly superior look and feel for families including modern colours and new furniture.

Funeral Director Zaheer Iqbal said “This is a very exciting time for my team and we are proud to be part of the community in Moseley.

“We feel our new booking office reflects our commitment to providing excellent standards of care and ensures that we can help people in the local area during their time of need.

“We are also very aware of the history and heritage attached to the name of N Wheatley and Sons. It is a name that has been in existence since the 1800s and part of the Central England Co-op funeralcare family for 25 years. That is why we wanted to ensure that the name lived on and is part of the new home in Moseley.

“Whether it being able to offer advice at a time of need or getting about to support everyone from churches to nursing homes, all of us here at Moseley Booking Office are always here for our community.”

In addition to arranging funerals, Zaheer and his team are also able to offer advice on floral tributes, monumental masonry, funeral stationery, pre-paid funeral plans and probate advice. The team can be contacted on 0121 440 1020 or at Co-operative Funeralcare, 3b Oxford Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 9EJ
