Central England Co-operative invests £108,000 in revamping Food Store in Derbyshire

Central England Co-operative has opened the doors to its refurbished Food Store in Ripley following a major investment.

The Maple Avenue store has been given a £108,000 makeover and customers will notice wider aisles for a better shopping experience, new environmentally-friendly fridges and improved ranges of beers, wines and spirits and snacks.

Store Manager Steve Lavender said: “Our team is excited about the improvements. The revamp looks fantastic and customers have already been making many positive comments about how it looks.

“I would like to thank our members and customers for their patience during the refurbishment and I hope they enjoy the changes as much as we do.

“All of us here at Maple Avenue Food Store are proud to be part of such a great community in Ripley and are looking forward to welcoming customers, new and old, to come and enjoy our Food Store.”

The Maple Avenue Food Store is open 6.30am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. 

The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special. The offer includes fresh and local fruit and vegetables, an instore bakery, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen produce and Irresistible product ranges. The store also offers a defibrillator, Food Bank collection, Paypoint, Lottery, free cash machine, Collect Plus, and parking.
