Rockers heading to the Download Festival who need to stock up on supplies are set to be given a helping hand by Central England Co-operative.

The Society’s store, in Station Road, is primed and ready to offer a range of offers and special services to over 100,000 heavy metal fans heading to Castle Donington from June 9 to June 11 to enjoy performances from bands such as Aerosmith and System of the Down.

As well as the normal wide range of offers on essentials from beers, wines, spirits to snacks and toiletries, the store is also offering a great priced breakfast, specially provided transport to help the music lovers get to and from the festival site to restock and refuel, a free cash machine and toilet facilities in the car park.

Gary Brooks, store manager at Castle Donington, said: “Download is a major event in the calendar for everyone in Castle Donington.

“As a store, extra special planning goes into ensuring we can cater for all the needs of festivalgoers, while at the same time ensuring our regular customers and members continue to enjoy their regular shopping experience.

“This year we have a great range offers for people heading to Download, great prices in our café for those that want to enjoy a warm breakfast and a special bus just for the festival attendees to bring them from the site to stock up and to take them back with all their goodies.”

Customers will be able to enjoy a range of special offers on beers, wines and spirits, a five piece breakfast for £3 or a main meal for £5.50 and take a trip on our Central England Co-operative bus for just £1.

All proceeds from the bus will go to the Society’s corporate charity Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children.

The bus will run from:
•    1pm to 10pm on Wednesday
•    9am to 10pm on Thursday
•    9am to 5pm on Friday
•    9am to 4pm on Saturday.
