Central England Co-operative is planning to bring some festive cheer as part of its involvement in the Lichfield Christmas Food Festival.

The company will form a major part of the festivities, set to take place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, 10 December and Sunday 11 December, as thousands get set to descend on the city centre to try a taste of all things Christmas.

Central England Co-operative will be offering customers a sneak peek at its Christmas and Irresistible ranges that are now available in stores at its Bore Street location at the festival.

The festival will also mark the start of a special Christmas Golden Ticket Giveaway at the city’s Boley Park Supermarket.

All customers need to do is head into store from Monday 12 December to Sunday 18 December and make a purchase.

They will then be handed a Golden Ticket and will be in with a chance of winning everything from a 40” Smart LED TV to Co-operative gift vouchers.

While in-store, customers will also be able to take a look around the brand new arrival in the city – high street retailer M&Co.

The fashion giant offers clothes for all ages and customers can now pick them up at the same time as they fill their trolleys full of festive goodies.

Martyn Cheatle, Chief Executive of Central England Co-operative, said: “We are so pleased to be able to be part of such a large scale event for Lichfield.

“The Christmas Food Festival will attract thousands of people from across the region and will be a great way for the Society to showcase our great products.

“It allows us to celebrate our community ethos and the fact that with Central England Co-operative Christmas is just around the corner.”

The popular free-entry festival will include a market featuring over 100 food and drink stalls, a celebration of local breweries, restaurant and local bars with tempting tipples and offers, free children’s cupcake and craft activities, and entertainment, special offers and plenty more around the city.
