The important place in the community occupied by the Central England Co-operative Food Store in Brundall, Norwich has been applauded as store colleagues received a high commendation in a local award.

The Broadland District Council Community at Heart Awards celebrate those people and groups in the community who go above and beyond what is expected of them to improve the lives of others. The team at the store, located at 122, The Street, in Brundall, were highly commended for the Business Community Supporter of the Year award.

Store Manager Brad Tuckfield said: “We are absolutely chuffed to be nominated and commended in the award. We are often praised by customers and we have a fantastic team of colleagues who are really engaged with working with the local community. It’s great for everyone to receive some recognition.”

Brad attended the awards at The Space, in Sprowston, on Tuesday, 30 October with Kym Hunt, Central England Co-operative’s Membership and Community Relations Officer for the Eastern Region, and Duty Manager Katherine Nash-Allen.
