Central England Co-operative Travel in Scunthorpe has launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support people in need– and customers and the community are being asked to offer their support.
The branch, in Oldrids Department Store, is collecting Easter eggs for the local foodbank to ensure that those who are in crisis this Easter have chocolate eggs and treats to give to their children.
The Easter eggs will be distributed just in time for Easter Sunday.
Travel branch manager Jodie Lewis said: “We’re asking our customers and friends to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to help people in need in Scunthorpe, and all gifts will be donated to the foodbank.
“It is the twelfth year that Central England Co-op has organised this collection and we are hoping to put smiles on even more faces this year.”
Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg should take it to the Central England Co-op travel branch in Scunthorpe by 5pm on Saturday, 24 March.
