Central England Co-operative Travel in St Ives has launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support people in need– and customers and the community are being asked to offer their support.
The branch, in Beales Department Store, is collecting Easter eggs for the local foodbank to ensure that those who are in crisis this Easter have chocolate eggs and treats to give to their children.
The Easter eggs will be distributed just in time for Easter Sunday.
Travel branch manager Carol Godfrey said: “We’re asking our customers and friends to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to help people in need in St Ives.  All gifts will be donated to the St Ives foodbank.
“It is the twelfth year that Central England Co-op has organised this collection and we are hoping to put smiles on even more faces this year.”
Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg should take it to the Central England Co-op travel branch in St Ives by 5pm on Saturday, 24 March.
