Central England Co-operative Travel is celebrating after being shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards.

Colleagues from across the Society’s 26 Travel Shops were jumping for joy after learning they had been shortlisted in the Best Large Agency category for the central region at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards (AAAs).

There was further cause for celebration after the Society was also shortlisted in a new category, the Best Large Agency for the East of England region.

The AAAs are the biggest celebration of the travel trade in the UK and the winners will be announced as part of a glamorous ceremony in London on July 11.

Paul Dale, Head of Travel at Central England Co-op, said: “I am so proud that our Travel business has been nominated for these top awards at what is our industries version of the Oscars.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all of the colleagues in Travel who often go the extra mile as a team and showcase commitment and passion at the heart of everything they do.

“We have had a really exciting last 12 months in our Travel business with the opening of six brand new travel stores following a significant investment by the Society, so these nominations are fantastic recognition for our growing team of dedicated travel experts.

“The Travel Weekly awards are designed to help celebrate the best of the best and we all now have our fingers crossed ahead of finding out the winners in July.”
