Cheap breakfast and other great offerings for Download rockers at local Co-op

Music lovers heading to Download Festival this weekend can enjoy a cheap breakfast thanks to Central England Co-op.

The Society’s store, in Station Road, is pulling out all the stops for when thousands of music fans gather at Donington Park for a memorable weekend of music including the likes of Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne.

Festival goers can rock up to the store café and enjoy a five item breakfast for just £3. They can also use onsite toilets installed especially for the comfort of Downloaders and can fill up with a hot lunch or dinner until 7pm on 6 June and 7 June or until 5pm on 8 June and 9 June.

There are also great deals on beers and spirits with 20 cans of Carling or Carlsberg lagers £14.50, Magners Original at £11 for 18, Jagermeister 50cl £13, Smirnoff Vodka £14 (70cl) and Jim Beam £16 (70cl).

A charity bus will also be running between the store and the festival site with a single fare costing just £1. All proceeds will go to support Dementia UK, Central England Co-operative’s corporate charity. The bus runs from the store between the following times:

  • Wednesday, 6 June - 1pm-10pm
  • Thursday 7 June - 9am-10pm
  • Friday 8 June - 9am-5pm
  • Saturday 9 June - 9am-4pm

Festival goers will also find a free cash machine and toilets at the store site.
