Co-op stocked rosé by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie named 10 out of 10 by wine expert

A wine expert has rated a Co-op stocked rosé from megastars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as the best of the best when it comes to celebrity-created tipples.

Studio by Miraval Rosé is created by the French vineyard Chateau Miraval, a stunning estate situated in Correns, in the south of France, which is co-owned by the famous screen stars.

The wine, which costs £12 a bottle, is a blend of cinsault, rolle and the lesser-known grape tibouren and is currently only available in the UK.

Expert Helena White gave the tipple 10 out of 10 when up against other drinks from the likes of Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kylie Minogue.

She said: “Brad and Angelina may have split but their French vineyard is still producing top quality plonk.

“Studio by Miraval Rosé is delicious, smooth and dry, with subtle notes of peach and melon.

“Absolutely magical chilled and sipped in the sunshine. A real A-lister!”

Its name takes inspiration from a recording studio that is based on the site, which was installed by its previous owner, and jazz musician, Jacques Loussier. The music studio played host to a range of big names from Pink Floyd to AC/DC.

Matt Simpson, Boley Park Store Manager, said: “I am sure people would like to bring a taste of Hollywood into their lives and we cannot wait for our customers to taste this delicious new wine.

“We are excited to be one of the exclusive stores selling this product and we think it will be a big success with our customers and Members.”

This latest wine is released eight years after the famous pair bought the 500-hectare Miraval. The first 6,000 bottles of Miraval Rosé they produced in 2012 sold out in just five hours.
