Major investment by Central England Co-op brings a brand-new look to Derby food store

A Central England Co-op shop in the Derby suburb of Heatherton Village has been transformed with a significant investment giving a boost to the local community.

The food store in Hollybrook Way has received a makeover to give it a lighter, fresher feel and includes some exciting new features and ranges for locals to enjoy.

The community food store in Hollybrook Way has been undergoing the makeover in recent weeks with changes including:

  • New product ranges to suit shoppers’ tastes      
  • A fantastic new food to go section with features such as a Tango Ice Blast machine and a free water refill station
  • Refreshed signage and decoration inside and out
  • New self-checkouts

Store Manager Tracey Healey said: “It’s fantastic for the team and for our great community in Heatherton Village that our store has been chosen for this major investment and it’s given us all a real boost.

“It’s a big refresh with a really nice new look and feel. We’re delighted to have some great new offers for our customers and members such as the Tango Ice Blast machine and the free water refills, as well as the self-checkouts which are proving a hit.

“We’ve already had some really positive feedback with people saying it feels much bigger and it has created a much more pleasant shopping experience which we’re delighted to hear.

“We’ve been really looking forward to showing our loyal customers and members the finished transformation and I would like to thank them for their continued support and for their patience while we brought our new look store to life – I hope they agree with us that it’s been worth it.”

The Heatherton Village Food Store is open Monday to Saturday 7am-10pm and Sunday 8am-10pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, cash machine, Lottery, Collect Plus/Paypoint, an instore bakery and customer car parking.
