BREAKING NEWS – Mince pies are ready and waiting at Central England Co-operative today. Let’s see what staff and customers think.

With 94 days to go, Central England Co-operative has kicked off the festive season in style with an ‘Irresistible’ range of mince pies. Choose from the all-butter pastry luxury Irresistible mince pies, filled with mincemeat made from vine fruits, apples, brandy, almonds and walnuts for £2, or the butter enriched pastry, zesty, spiced flavour of Co-op’s deep filled mince pies for £1.

The festive range also includes Free From mince pies for £1.99 (and we bet you can’t taste the difference!), and if you want to try something extra special, pick up the mini-mince pies for £1.50.

Kevin Morris, Store Manager at Lichfield Co-op, said: “It’s true what they say, the first mince pie always tastes the best, and I can assure you that our mince pies won’t disappoint.
“We have a great range ready for Christmas, so if you are keeping it simple or fancy something luxurious – we’ve got it covered.
“They are all so good that I can’t choose a favourite.”

Janet Fields, shopper at Central England Co-operative, said: “It may seem early, but the run up to Christmas has begun.
“I enjoyed trying the Co-op range and my favourite has to be the £1 deep filled mince pies.”

Martin Hill, Head of Product and Category at Central England Co-operative, said: “Mince pies become a daily treat in the run up to Christmas in my house.
“Having tried the Irresistible mince pies and Co-op deep filled mince pies, my favourite has to be the Irresistible ones.”

Walter Smith, shopper at Central England Co-operative, said: “I have always enjoyed a good mince pie even if it is September.
“I liked the luxury Irresistible mince pies the best and they would be even better with a dollop of brandy butter!”

But don’t just listen to our staff and customers; it is always crucial to take part in a taste test!
