Staff at three Co-operative Travel branches are celebrating after being jointly named best of the best at a glamorous award ceremony.

The stores in Thetford, Beccles and March performed so well that judges could not separate them and awarded the trio the coveted Branch of the Year award at an annual retail awards ceremony held in Cyprus.

Paul Dale, Head of Specialist Business, said: “Once again all of our Travel stores have had a great year and the decision to pick the best of the best was a tough one.

“This is why, in 2018, we have awarded not one, not two but three branches of the year because of the way the colleagues have gone above and beyond to help customers.

“They all deserve praise for exceptional performance, commitment, customer service and community involvement.”

It was double delight at the Thetford branch after Clare Slattery was also handed the Outstanding Achievement Award for her work.

This topped off a rewarding 12 months for the Assistant Manager who was also named Colleague of the Year by Central England Co-op, beating off competition from 8,000 other workers to come away with the top award.

She said: “It means a lot to me to win the award as it shows appreciation and recognition for my hard work.

“I feel very privileged to win the award.”
