Drinkers looking to wet their whistle with a little something different this summer can now choose from an exciting mix of beers, lagers and ciders with Central England Co-operative.

For every occasion, stores have been stocked with a new range aimed at offering a little something for everyone.

Real ale lovers will be able to enjoy a raft of new tipples this summer as well as the return of a few old favourites.

For just £1.69, customers can take a sip of either a 4.5 % Co-op Indian Pale Ale or a 5.5 % Triple Hop Ale.

The Indian Pale Ale will allow drinkers to enjoy a smooth and rich amber ale with a dry malt finish with soft fruit overtones.

Those picking up a Triple Hop Ale will be treated to a mix of sweet aromatic hop and peppery spices on a bed of fruit.

Those looking to enjoy something more traditional can pick up a mix of ales including Marston’s Old Empire, Adnams Crystal Rye Indian Pale Ale and the ultra-popular Brewdog Punk Indian Pale Ale for just £1.99.

These beers are great when paired with pub classics such as burgers or fish and chips or nibbles such as pork pies.

Someone looking for something a little sweeter can escape from the summer heat with a refreshing glass of cider such as Friels Vintage or Co-op Irresistible
Tillington Hills Dry Cider for as little as £1.99.

Lager lovers will not be left out as they can now find chilled Pistonhead Kustom Lager in over 200 stores for £1.99 and fans of Guinness can now try the brewer’s foray into the lager trade by sampling bottles of Hop House for £2.19.

A traditional favourite with British drinkers, try these lagers with flavoursome meals including pizza, fish or tandoori dishes.

Central England Co-operative is also continuing its long tradition of working with local suppliers by stocking a range of locally sourced ales in its stores.

One of which is Oakham Ales Citra, an ale created by the independent brewer based out of Peterborough.

The ale can be picked up for £1.99 and not just in Peterborough, but also at stores across our trading estate.

Michael Simons, Category Manager at Central England Co-operative, said: “Summer is just around the corner at Central England Co-operative and we are very proud of the offering we have when it comes to beers, lagers and ciders.

“Our range includes some hot new products alongside some established old favourites, with many available chilled in our stores – perfect for a hot day this summer.

“We also have some great options in our stores when it comes to pairing our range with the correct food. This is a fantastic opportunity to really make the most of your dining experience and enjoy a nice drink at the same time.”
