Other business contacts
If you are a supplier, we collect information about you that either you give to us yourself or that your business provides to us. We collect only what we need to manage the contract and Central England Co-operative’s relationship with you and your business. We do this on the basis of fulfilling our contract with you, and in our legitimate interests in running our business. We will keep this information for seven years after the end of our contract.
If you are a visitor to a Central England Co-operative site, such as one of our food stores or funeral homes, or our Business Support Centre, we may ask for your name, organisation and car registration number. We use this information for health and safety purposes, we need to make sure that we know who is on site in the event of an emergency such as a fire evacuation. We keep completed logs in secure storage on site for two years.
If you join one of our community member groups, such as exercise, music or craft classes, we will collect your name, contact details, and payment information. We collect this information in order to be able to administer your membership of the group. We keep this information in secure storage for up to two years after you leave the group.
If you are involved in an accident or incident at one of our sites, we collect information to allow us to investigate the event. This may include information on the nature of the event, name and contact details of anyone involved or any witnesses and CCTV footage if it is available. We collect this information to help with our investigation into the event. We may also use your information to contact you as a follow up. We keep this information securely for at least seven years from the date of the incident, unless any individuals injured as a result of the accident or incident is under 18, in which case we will keep all information collected in the course of investigating the accident or incident until all individuals injured have reached the age of 18 and then for three years after that.
