Be a ‘good egg’ and donate to Central England Co-op Travel’s annual Easter appeal in Oakham

Central England Co-op Travel in Oakham has launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support people in need.

The travel branch in Burley Road is collecting Easter eggs for the local Visions Children’s Centre, which provides advice and support to parents, carers and children from birth to 11 years old.

The Easter eggs will be distributed in time for Easter Sunday.

Travel branch manager Sharon Carr said: “We’re asking everyone in the local community to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to pass on to children at the Visions Children’s Centre which helps local parents and carers.

“It is the thirteenth year that Central England Co-op has organised this activity, helping to bring cheer to local families who otherwise may not receive a treat this Easter.

“Thank you to everyone who has donated in the past. We hope that this year’s appeal will be our most successful yet.”

Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg should take it to the Central England Co-op travel branch in Burley Road, Oakham (open Monday – Saturday 9am-5.30pm) by Wednesday, 17 April.
